The spiritual journey of life is more than attending church on Sunday morning and Christian education. Sharing ourselves, our families, and our beliefs through formal and informal interaction is the ultimate expression of who we are and the way we live. St. John’s encourages a variety of fellowship programs to promote positive interaction and to give members the support they need in today’s world.
Women of the E.L.C.A.
This group promotes Christian education and other worthy service projects. Every woman in the church is invited to share in the work of and fellowship of the Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and to support our work financially.
The WELCA of St. John’s is divided into two groups: the Lee-Freyschmidt Circle which meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 10:30 a.m.; and the Tovey Circle which meets on the second Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. This provides all women of the church with an opportunity to attend. Lee-Freyschmidt meets September through May; Tovey circle meets September through June. Both meetings include a program and refreshments.
Lutheran Men
The Lutheran Men’s group is a service organization which meets on the fourth Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. to hear a speaker and for fellowship. A light supper is provided. The group is open to all men within the church.
