The spiritual journey of life is more than attending church on Sunday morning and Christian education. Sharing ourselves, our families, and our beliefs through formal and informal interaction is the ultimate expression of who we are and the way we live. St. John’s encourages a variety of fellowship programs to promote positive interaction and to give members the support they need in today’s world.
Ladies Sewing Society
In 1825 the women of the congregation of St. John's formed the Female Society "organized for the purpose of contributing financial aid to worthy young men in their preparation for the Christian ministry." In its existence the Society has contributed to the education of more than 169 men and women in the Seminary. In November 2025, we celebrated our 200th anniversary. Meetings are held the 3rd Sunday of each month at 3:00pm.
Tovey Circle
Women of the congregation are invited to enjoy food and fellowship with the Tovey Circle. Gatherings are held on the first or second Thursday of each month in various locations around the area, often in the home of one of the members. Pay attention to the bulletin and The Herald for times and locations. Meetings are held September through June.
